  • Ok!!

    The ball is rolling!!

Managed to get a refund of £28.79 from Mint for interest charged... when I paid the bill in full.. and on time. (At least I got it back:D )

Also cancelled sports package on Sky. So payment drops from £36 to £19 meaning a £17 saving every month.

    £45.79 down, £254.21 to go

    Well done everyone so far:T

Hi everyone, I've given in with May now and am cracking on with this month!

I am using my money this month for a weekend away for me and DH. Is going to be really lovely we're going to York to the races. I know it's not very MSE of us, but we have worked our socks of lately and I feel like it will do us both some good to have a weekend away child free together.
My update so far: £60 earned last Saturday at my new job which I have started in order to bring some extra cash in to pay for some extras which we have not had for a while. Wanting to save a bit up then use the money to pay off some debt early.
Also I have worked today so another £32.34.
Not counted my tips yet as I will add them in in a few weeks when they add up a bit! :D

    xx

ps- does everyone else use their money from this challenge towards something in particular? or for every day living? this is the first time ive saved it away for something instead of just using it to live off. just wondered what everyone else does? :)

Excellent start for your "weekend away" fund (lovely idea and York races are great!). I tot all mine up and at the end of the month pay that much extra off my debts!
  • Count me in.
