I think deposits via your linked account take 4 working days to clear - even though they display on your balance, they dont become available until 4 working days later!0

If you don't mind, can I ask what web browser you use,
IE6 ..... no scaling of text from default. Just logged in this morning to check a large DD made last night has arrived there. And noticed the Activate button was momentarily visible before the Security & Privacy tab masked it out. Thereafter you wouldn't know the Activate button was sitting behind (unless you know .... IYSWIM !)

I've followed your link (I use IE6 too) and I can fully view the activate button. I've tried changing the text size, and it's still visible. Can't think why you can't view it fully. Might be a silly question, but could it be anything to do with the size of the monitor? I think sometimes if the monitor is one of the smaller sizes, it can interfere with the text layout.0 -
I am in the process of opening this account. (It took them 6 weeks!)
I have been told that pay-ins can only be made via DD. Is this correct? Or can one make an external payment using sort code, a/c no and reference?
I sent a cheque to open the account on 17th May and have had no communication since. I want to transfer a large sum but need a user name and Access Token. But, if you waited 6 weeks I'll have to leave the money where it is getting a rubbish rate.0 -
The process for me was very quick. Perhaps give them a call and check that they have received the cheque? That could maybe be why the next stage hasn't happened for you.0

That's reassuring to know, since it implies that if anything the problem is with trying to cope with IE's non-compliance of standards rather than actually write decent XHTML/CSS - contrast this to ICICI's website where they have put accessibility a distinct second. :P If the problem is there end, I'm sure they'll fix it eventually if they manage to work out where the problem is.0 -

My cheque was sent on the 18th May. On Friday 23rd May I received my access token by email stating that my username was in the post and to allow 5 days. I received my username on the 28th, which did of course encompass the Bank Holiday.0 -

Strange then. As I've activated (the hard way) ... it's not an issue as the Login is in clear space. Shouldn't be the monitor which is a 19" flat screen. Only problem I'm aware of, with it, is BM hiding boxes! So long as my money is in view - I'll leave it at that.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

It has happened to me several times now that account opening took weeks. When the banks have a back-log, the letters probably sit there in a big bucket waiting to be dealt with. All BM could ever tell me was "to-day we are dealing with letters received on 18th April" etc.Dagobert0
