Hi - new to ebay. I am selling a new mobile phone and I have had a request for postage costs to the US. They state they will pay by paypal.
Would you send to US, and how much would it cost to post a phone? Is there any particular postage method to use?
Thanks

The Royal Mail will not insure a phone sent abroad with a value of £34 or more. Think hard about what the phone is worth, and if it's worth the risk!My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
don't send a high value mobile phone to the US as royal mail will not cover mobile phones, even if you pay the extra insurance, they are just too much of a risk.0

See my thread further on down the forum about taking risks with postage. It's really not worth it.0

Can you just pop a large letter in the post box to America? Is there any think that needs to be put on it?0

Will the phone work in the USA? I am sorry but American buyers can be the thickest and most difficult to sell to.0

Hi, My guess is that the mobile will not work in the USA. I would not think it would be worth the hassle selling a mobile to the US. As a previous poster said the Americans get mixed up with pounds and dollars.0

Personally no way on earth I would send a mobile phone to the US. Asking for trouble if you do I'm afraid.0
