thanks ..........the wiring for the lights was done by myself.....I modified the original one bulb to 8 spotlights.
but the rewire was done by a qualified sparky
Good afternoon: If there is a problem with the installation then you should call back your electrician. FYI, test results would be recorded on a form similar to this one from the NIECIC...you should have received a Domestic electrical installation certificate from your sparks for your rewire.

Older houses have the supply piggy backed from next door.
This may be fine, but it can be really old. I am rewiring a flat next week and had to call Scottish Power in to replace the supply cable as it was old and VERY undersized (the supply to the whole house was smaller than the average shower cable)
If you can post a picture of the meter and the incoming cable head it may help clear up things.
As I said earlier it may be one on these things (everything may be fine)baldly going on...0
