Warning: Tyre Insurance Ripoff
Comments
-
I too purchased tyre insurance. I don't think the price of 250 covering 5 tyres over 3 years and 10 alloy polishes was too bad. However, when you try to get a tyre replaced it takes several days. I assumed I could drive in and get it sorted there and then, how wrong could I be. I had to book an appointment and then they take photos for the insurance scheme. A few days later they get approval and replace the tyre. A week running on a space saver isn't ideal at all. I've now purchased a full size spare (ebay) so have spent a further £80.
Seeing as I can get a decent tyre from costco for around £50 I wouldn't ever bother with Inchcape policies again.
A real shame as I love my Golf.0
