Congratulations!! I'm sure it'll be difficult in the early years but worth it in the long run! Not the same I know but i have two very close in age and it was hard work but now its lovely to have them so close playing together and with similar interests.

The practicalities may take a bit of overcoming, esp on a reduced income. Depending on how big your flat is it may be worth looking into renting a house - a two bed terrace will normally give you more living space than a flat.

The car will be a problem. Obv with 3 babies you need proper car seats and there's no way of fitting all five of you into a fiesta. You may have to resign yourself to not making journeys together ie you can go get the shopping etc. That said, when ours were small we didnt have a car and we managed with public transport/walking/the odd taxi. If you do need to make a journey together the odd hire car would be more cost effective then buying a bigger car.

You will certainly get a fair amount of tax credits/child benefit with 3 babies so that should soften the blow of your wife leaving work a little.

Ikea have cheap cots, highchairs and baby essentials - def the best value I've seen.

Finally, prepare yourself for your lives to turn upside down! Encourage your wife to take as much 'me' time now as possible and spend quality time together as a couple while you can. As i'm sure you'll appreciate, this is going to be tough on your wife (and yourself but esp her if she'll be at home with them all day). One baby is hard enough work but she'll have this x 3 before moving onto 3 x terrible toddlers, then 3 x squabbling siblings!! That said - I think the saying 'you've never loved until you've had a child' is true and you're getting 3 times that feeling which will be wonderful.

    Congratulations.

    As others have said

    1. freecycle
    2. ebay
    3. join ALL the supermarket baby clubs.
    4. get yourselves a PR guru, get all the publisity you can.
5.write to major manufacturers of baby stuff, chairs, buggies, etc etc etc and offer 3 to 'test drive' thier products in return for publicity photos of the triplets with their product.
    6. make sure you claim for all the benefits you are entitled to.

    Congratulations.

I think you've been given some great advice.:T
I only had a small house with 1 child, so I'd agree with de-cluttering in advance. When buying stuff I'd look out for the smallest/double duty/space saving/easy to store when not in use items. eg my highchair when not in use, used to fold flat against the wall.
