Hi Everyone.
Switched from Vodafone contract to PAYG. Purchased the handset on Friday. Registered and got the port on the go with Orange the same day. I already had the PAC code and they said it would be done between 11AM and 4PM on Tuesday. Its now Wednesday morning, my old Vodafone number has been deactivated (no-signal can be recv'd) but the number isn't ported through.
Rang last night and got told that it would be done by 12AM Tuesday night (Wed morning.)
Does anyone have experiance before of how long it can take. I would like to avoid paying 25P per call to customer services and I badly need my old number.
Thanks!

Ports go through between 9am and 4pm. It can happen anytime, the old sim should stop working. At this point switch off the new one and leave it off for a minute and then power on. You should get some sim updates after a few minutes, read, delete, power off and on. Done. If the sim updates don't come in 5 to 10 minute switch the phone off for a while and try again.0
