Almost and NSD for me - I was baking and ran out of flour so just had to go to MR T's and get some stuff spent £9.07 and got .....
Cereal
SR Flour
2 x value bacon - fancied bacon and egg sarnies for brunch
small sliced farmhouse
chicken for sarnies for the kids lunches
Value bananas
2 x 4 pack ski yogurt on special at 2 4 £1.99
I have spent the rest of the day doing choc sponge for the kids lunches - except they decided its too dry so I've sandwiched it with some choc cream cheese icing. I have just done a pineapple traybake - 1 tin value pineapple pieces drained and spread out on bottom of baking tray, ordinary sponge mix made with dark brown sugar and poured over the top of the pineapple. I don't like pineapple but the boys do so I'm hoping they'll like this! I've just got some flapjacks to do a bit later. Oh gotta go BM has just finished the dough for me rolls!!

RuthSki must be trying to shift some stock lol as they seem to be on offer in more than 1 place!

Have managed not to do a weekly shop yet just a couple of visits to pick up milk, bread and whoopsis. No great bargains to be had but we walk up and I need the exercise. We have managed to clear the fridge (almost) and use up all sorts of odds from the freezer and cupboards. Will be doing a big shop today or tomorrow so will update sig then.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Well yesterdays NSD went well. Took DH and DS out for a walk but took no money so could not pop into COOP and nose lol!! Very happy, so much so that am convinced it is a good idea to make this a minimal spend week- well Monday to Friday anyway at least. I normally do a weekly shop on Thursday but if I can put it off a couple of days to Saturday or Sun then that would be great. Also could leave DS at home with dad and that would be easier on my back too
.....wish me luck to hold out til the end of the week! Might even pop another one in at the end of the month too. We don't need diesel yet either and if I don't drive unneccesarily then hopefully will last until a top up next-week
Main thing we will likely need is satsumas for DH as he eats them like they are going out of fashion!
Hoping rhubarb ready for picking soon (was too green yesterday) and more seeds germinating- lets hope some get to plant stage and some even produce some fruit (even tiny ones would do). By the by, I planted tatties last monday, in pots, when should I see any life coming from the pot ?
Also onions and beetroot seeds planted then too. Thanks for all the great tips and recipes.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Hiya
Right I am on a mission now as I have just found out I am pregnant and really need to watch the pennies. On the plus side my appetitie has disappeared so I might not need to buy as much!
I spent £17.53 in the co-op yesterday which I am extremely proud of, it's normally £70 odd and this included toilet rolls, £2.30 for Charmin' which is a right bargain.
Also made two large cottage pies, bulked up wit carrots, lentils and peas, one wne in the freezer and there was some left from yesterdays for my lunch mmmmmMurphy's No More Pies Member No. 28 on hold0 -

Morning all. Quite a successful first weekend (this is usually our weakest moment for treats). Spent £7 and change on bread, milk and some veggies over the weekend which is way less than the usual £30 we burn in a shop.
In addition we made use of 'Crowns' we got included with our tickets to the Taste Festival at the weekend and stocked up on some lovely local produce (mostly meat products) which if 'free' food as we could have frittered the vouchers on alcohol and sweeties (we did have a delish meal from the restaurant stands, also from the vouchers)26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Hey All....I too had a NSD yesterday, altho I had meant to look on the Vouchers thread to see if anything good was in the papers but forgot...oh well, saved the odd coupla quid on buying those too:p
I've had a hankering for rock cakes for a few weeks so made those, flapjack which may/may not be covered in chocolate, tea scones & some more fairy cakes to transform into 'butterfly' cakes.....but our butterflies only have one wing:o Grown men just don't like to be SEEN enjoying the food from their childhood like wummin do they:D
I like the idea of planning NSD into the week.. ..can't think of anything I need today but I'll definately have to get petrol tomorrow, maybe get to a MrA if I can be bothered to go that far. I had thought I was going to one yesterday & they seem to be the only ones who sell the original 'green' washing up liquid now. We can't use the perfumed ones as they make us sneeze [very hygienic  ]& good old Fairy isn't on offer around here.Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

I used to swear by a nice rich tea biscuit to curb sick feelings a bit and apparently ginger helps although I struggled to stomach it. My DS is 11 months and having him has helped me get GC going really- have always watched the pennies but now we have less money as I don't work anymore and also any pennies saved can go toward DS's futureErmutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
