Thanks to all for your supportive comments. I am embarrassed now by my rant, think its because I have just been so tired recently. My problems are miniscule at the moment compared to others. I went upstairs after preparing lunch and just felt so overwhelmingly tired that I lay on the bed and went straight to sleep for 2 hours. I must have needed it, (living up to my name) but now even further behind.
Salmon from the freezer with new potatoes and salad for our evening meal, so not difficult to do, and still have the apple crumble that they didn't want last night after all.
I had gone into the kitchen last night to put it away and thought that someone had been murdered. There was red liquid dripping all down the cupboards and drier, and a puddle on the floor! DH had taken out an ice cube tray that I had put some raspberry puree in and left it out. If he had left it flat there would have been no problem. His excuse was that the freezer is so full he can't get to anything, even though he only seems to go into it to get ice for his drinks.
Got the chocolate and yoghurt cake maturing that we were going to have today, but that can now wait until tomorrow.
Would have been a NSD but bought an apple pie for 1.50 at church for fundraising. It is a Swiss (or German) recipe apparently, with no top crust, but like a custard filling. The lady won't share her recipe, so anyone any ideas?
Thanks again

Received an invitation to inauguaration supper on Tuesday at our new Supermarket Eroski ,this will mean we can have a picky tea and a good look at the prices before opening.
I will take my comparison chart with me to see what is better value / cheaper than Lidl and Consum.Haven't managed to source yeast yet so will make an effort to look tomorrow when I go to Murcia shopping at Primark with neighbours. There is a big supermarket there but I'll only buy yeast if they sell it
Keep up the good work Annelouise. Consum opened with us earlier this year, they had a good range of stuff, but we find that it's definately dearer than Euroski who are dearer than Lidl, so be interested n what you find in your part of Spain. I got dried yeast at Mercadona (if you have one) but fresh yeast I can buy from the baker but only on a Monday.
Enjoy your trip to Primark, the supermarket there I think is Al Campo, our one here is huge and good value for money. Across the road from Primark (there's a bus) is Ikea and another shopping centre with a Cand A, brings back memeories as ours closed in England years ago0 -

Don't use the eggs use the cake :rotfl: Half the fun of trying is going wrong because that's when you create masterpeices
Use the cooked bit with custard and the uncooked put into fairy cake cases and bake again that's if you haven't thrown it
HeHe!! I like it!!

evening,
got the cooking done, enough meatballs for at least three dinners and enough mince for another three, have probably got enough sauce from the meatballs to freeze some separately to use over pasta.
have been spending a lot of time planning meals for the next couple of weeks and for other things i want to try, ie honeycomb, i'm thinking that hm honeycomb dipped in choc might be a good present option fpr fathers day, was going to do guiness cupcakes but i've no guiness and unless i can pinch one from my mum and dadsi'm not going to get a whole can as it'd just go to waste.

Hi all
Annelouise was talking about Tinto Berrano a couple of pages ago. Have a good recipe for this to make for yourself - delicious and refreshing especially for BBQ's and parties - for those over in Spain, Germany - you get the best deals
1 carton red wine - I know you can get them for 50c (this does work) or for those in the UK - 1 bottle of cheap red wine.
Add in same quantity of fanta lemon or cheap equivalent.
Add icecubes, slices of lemon and orange and DRINK
Had some this afternoon in the garden with the BBQ!!!!

When I cooked a double portion of sponge mixture in one tin a couple of months ago and it too wasn't cooked in the middle but brown on top I covered it with tinfoil turned the oven down and let it cook longer eventually the sponge set in the middle and was edible. A friend said I should have had the temp of the oven lower to start with!!!!!!! Next time I did and it worked
HTH
Tinfoil stops it browning anymore and burningThanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.
