Oh well, does anyone else feel that it is a one step forward, 10 steps back kind of day?

I won one of those hols for Pontins and now find Mr.B won't take any time off, and the teenagers stuck their noses up..they loved it when they were little.

They're teenagers now. See clips of Kevin on youtube.
I was in a bit of a mood with Mr.B about finances last night as he willfully draws money out of joint account and tells me after. No consultation before, and expects me to be ok with it. I find it all a struggle, as the money he drew out was more than my food budget.

Let your family sit down to a plate of beans each and the words "There is no proper tea - your father withdrew the last of the food money and spent it on..."

You'll only need to do it once.
I decided that i would ask my mates to come with me instead to Pontins, and was met with a lacklustre response. It is only a weekend, and if we take our own food, and a bit of the grape stuff, it should be relatively cheap, as accomodation and leccy paid for, entertainment free..if you buy a cheap tonic and add to ( I have a large bag and not afraid to stash a bit of grape in there!)

I'm smelling a bit of snobbishness on their part... ;)
"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky."
    OMD 'Julia's Song'
  • All very true Z, bunch of snobs the lot of them.

I thought it would be lovely as it is in southport, lots of shopping ( well window shopping on my part) And days out, i have my NT tickets. I love southport and can't see a problem.

Re... the teenagers, all bloomin K+PS in training.

Had this with the eldest once, refused hols etc. Then she wished she had come because we were abroad and it snowed in England. The funny thing is, they all like camping but stick noses up at this...

Ah well what can a girl do?

I won't make Mr.b's tea tonight for a start, i can feel a trip to mates coming on.:rotfl:

I'm with ZTD - tell the kids that Mr B has the food money and so he can pay for supper (you have no money left as he has it all), could you set up a separate account and withdraw and stash the money you need (and any extra you earn from ebay/amazon etc) in there?
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

Def. small steps forward, and then a step back, sounds like most MSE homes :p
I agree with the suggestion that you lay the blame (correctly) on Mr B's doorstep.
How very dare he spend money without prior clearance. (I don't mean that to sound sarcastic :o ). Would you have said No to what he wanted? Then he probably realised that he was spending it on something he shouldn't.

Yep so did i. It is a bit of a pattern, he thinks if i am happy then off he tickles, on his merry little way.:o

How does he justify it? by telling me afterwards, and i will sort it out. We have also got topay for August hols on 21st, and he wanted me to come out to a knees up in Manchester on saturday. Told him to go on his own, as i was doing a carboot at the firestation:D ...May as well have a good day, and i know he only wanted me to come so he didn't have to drive.

I feel a lot better about it now, i am just in the middle ages at the mo working my way upto Tudor times. When i get back to Georgian, i am a coming for a Miggins special:rotfl: :rotfl: :T

I already do that. I have my own savings and current account. All my monies are paid into them. The joint account is supposed to be for bills, food etc.I never touch it only for the above, and i pay all extra in it as a back up...won't be doing that again.I am thinking of reopening one of my savings/ paying in book accounts..then i can go in physically and pay in. I used to have one with the halifax, i don't think i ever closed it and i still have one with the Woolwich.
