Hi Bob guess you are having a busy day from your list earlier. Just fowarded email I had after aforementioned JOGLE. Had others before the event that I deleted but thought you might be interested to see what they did and how much they raised. XX Forgot to say that there is a link to their blog too ! doh !Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

oh miz it is all up and down we were thinking about splitting it into three parts but peb mentioned that we might not get the time off work which is a very good point i think it probably will have to be done in the oner but i think we will have to try and cut the days down having company i think will make it easier ....got any ideas to add to the pile? i think it might come down to me getting everyones number and phoning them all to see what is the best option then getting back and having a vote
Well perhaps those who can't get the time away for the whole thing could join a section? Could make them monumental in themselves (length of Scotland would be one) but that could be done say in 4 weeks rather than the 12 for the whole thing. It's tricky as it is going to take time and that could be problematic for people on different counts. For me - even if I could get time off work, would not want to leave OH and the dogs for so long.0 -
i think that is probably what will happen a small contingency doing the whole thing with people joining up as and when they can ...ell thanks for the offer of a bed no doubt we will take you up on the offer lol we are going to have to do it as cheap as possible estimates are very high for the project so far0

Have a good day tomorrow...slightly puzzled with the walk plan...when/how far etc - is it top to bottom?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! I think that the walk plan will be sorted out next year..that will then give us three years to plan it. It will be from John o'Groats to Lands End..so Top to bottom.
EL wants to go at it in one go, but is open to suggestions and plans on case all of this doesn't work out. Also there are options for folks to join in at various bits..if they wish.
fund raising is going to be two fold..one for walking eqpt, and accomodation as well as other expenses re walk. The second is going to be for the charitable bits which is after all the whole point of the walk.
so that is my understanding of it so far. Hope that helps peeps having a nose and wandering what in earth we are yapping about!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

um, it sort of helps. But my OH is nattering to some bloke on his Xbox headset, so my brains leaking out my left ear anyway, hearing half a conversation about them shooting other geeks. Not helped y my current task of gantt chart. My brain 'urts....
Looks like you're having a good day, I think you should do the walk in bits, the average distance being the distance between nice pubs. They you could have a side-sponsored thingy of guess how many pints you managed. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
