Hello all,
Was wondering if I could ask for some assistance.
OH and I are currently on PAYG with O2. We are looking at taking out contract phones due to the high cost of calls on PAYG.
I am looking at the 1100 deal on the 3 network with the Nokia 6500 slide. If we take two contracts out at the same time, they will increase the free 300 mins of 3 to 3 calls to 2000 mins.
However, our problem is that OH has £100 credit on his phone. We have phoned O2 but they are not offering anything special if we were to take a contract out with him.
How is the best way to get rid of this £100 credit (as we will be taking our numbers with us).
Games stay on the phone when they are downloaded. What about tones?
Also I remember there used to be website where you could order music via texts which you then downloaded to your computer. Can't remember what it was but think it may have been shut down.
If anyone else has any suggests, i would be most grateful.
Sorry for the long post

One alternative would be to use some of the credit to buy calling credit with Just Dial (Google it). basically you text a mobile number(teh cost coming from your mobile balance) and they text you back a pin number. You can then dial overseas or to the UK at cheap rates using that credit. Access is via a nominated landline. I did this when Easymobile closed down and it worked a treat. I now call ireland this way(the rate is very cheap) . You can text several times and they will add the value to the same pin number and although it sounds complex it is explained on the web site. But the pin numbers do expire(with any unused credit) after 6 months, i think0

I have also heard that that special deal with 3 is due to come to an end very soon, so it might not b there when you want it.0

Thanks for your posts Mike.
I have ordered the 3 phones (last night) and i will look at doing what you suggest.
Does the owner of the nominated phone number need to do know, as due to time differences, it would be more practical for the nominated line to be my work number.
Thanks0
