    so not legal ones then

Well if the supplier is in Scotland then you don't need to show docs so yes they're legal.

And otherwise they'd only be ilegal on a tiny technicality of not having a BS mark, but would serve the same purpose, would not get you pulled over by the police and will pass an MOT

Depends on the size of the trailer, if lights and number plate on car can be seen from rear with trailer attached, then there is no reason for extra plate/lights.

Not in the New Forest. I could buy a trailer (if I didn't already have one;) ) for what the Garden Waste Collection Service would cost me.

Is this right? I would have thought that lights at least would be needed on the trailer.

Can't be bothered digging through the roads vehicle lighting regulations but pretty sure rear lights have to actually be at the rear of a vehicle, otherwise it would be pretty dangerous

Also remember that dependin on when you passed your driving test you may also need to take a towing test.

It used to be that they had to be within 300mm of the rear of the vehicle, probably still similar now.

Also don't get caught in the 3rd lane of the motorway, easy to forget with a small trailor that you can't see into the rear mirror.;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Why would a new car have a tow bar but no electrics?
