    I've been Money Tipped!
If you see anyone who keeps horses stop and ask, doesn't have to be a commercial yard.

I'd be thrilled if people wanted some of ours. I'd even be able to supply sacks for it if required.

You do need to check the land hasn' been sprayed with the stuff that kills your plants and ask the yard owner to check their feeds, hay etc hasn't been (all my feed suppliers assured me it hadn't been).

A huge part of my day most of the year is walking around fields picking up poop. This is even better that stuff from stables, as its pure poop, not a type of bedding that takes longer to rot down, so look out for people doing this (or trailers or something in fields showing this is done)....it means more poop rich muck heap. If someone wanted to do some of this every now and again they'd get the red carpet treatment...and, the other bonus might be to get free access to late summer/autumn hedgerows.....sloes and blackberries, rosehips here, crab apples, plums etc in many places....

A point to note is that the average horse does between 8-12 poos a day, or a wheelbarrow full. Most people who have a horse have plenty of poop to share!

Freecycle, google it if you don't know what it is.
Otherwise look out for a horse and follow it home

keen gardeners did use dash to out of their houses when a horse went past. as a kid i remember tarmac roads with interesting treadmarks.

and dogs used to chase motorcycles and bite their tyres. when did they stop doing that?
