Yes ...Its very very simple to setup and keep running.

When you first plug it in it can sort through all your music on the PC or you can choose what to select. Its also simple to make and maintain playlists.
It is drag and drop to setup up your music from the PC.

The player itself is easy to use (not to mention as light as a feather) and has the expected features like:

    Playlists:
    most played
    least played
    search by artist
    search by album
    random play
it can also show the album coven of the track playing (depending on how you transferred the music).
    display photos
    display the time
alarm clock, or even to view your calendar, tasks and contacts.
can be used as a external storage device that stores your important files and documents.

Ohh ...and no ..I'm not on commission :-)

Creative MP3 players you can connect to PC and it can show up as an extra drive. No faffing about like in iTunes to recode your MP3s.

I have an old 2gb Zen V+ used it to record my live dj sets, still using it not after 2 years. Love it.
  • I bought the blue one of these last year for my b/f and it's been fab. About the size of a box of tic tacs and v easy to use once you get used to the toggle button to scroll through. All I do is plug it in to pc, right click on the song I want to put on there and click 'send to Zen'. Simple! The only thing I would say is the radio reception isn't great but then we don't live in an area where the radio reception is great anyway. I'm off to see if I can get one of these babies for myself....

I have the 1GB version and it's fine for listening to MP3's. Video playback is a waste of time though, and I've always found the radio reception to be pretty poor.

I use Media Monkey for transferring music to the player:

    which works very well.

just looking through the argos website... :A

am not sure which 8GB mp3 to get.
they are both the same price (£49.99),
however i am a novice when it comes to MP3 Players so please help me choose the best one.
i need it for my car so i can play my MP3 through my car stereo via a Car Cassette Adaptor......

The 2 that i have seen are ...

    (1) Zen V 8GB MP3 Player
    http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001001&langId=-1&searchTerms=Creative+Zen+V+8GB+MP3+Player&Submit=GO+%3E

    OR

    (2) Philips 8GB MP3 Player
    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5136216/Trail/searchtext%3EMP3+8GB+PHILLIPS.htm

    WHICH ONE SHOULD I BUY?
which one has the best features ?
    please help Moneysavers :money:

and it doesnt say if they are 3.5mm jack headphones or 2.5mm jack... please help :o

:D:D Dont forget to Press the *THANKS* button :D:D
  • I picked mine up yesterday, and apart from charging it and loading the software haven't tried it as yet. I also bought the extra insurance cover, because this is cheaper too! The cover is reduced to £9.99, from £15.99, to cover for any problem at all, even accidental damage. The guy in Argos told me that they are not sent away for repair, they just replace it with a new one in store. Three years cover for that price, I thought was worth it!
  • Not to be confused with the Creative ZEN 8GB MP3 Player. This has the option of adding an SD memory card, so the 8gb memory could become 16gb. This is the one I'm looking for. Anyone found this one at a good price? The Argos one doesn't have an SD card slot. The names look very similar to me and I nearly got caught out :cheesy:

I purchased the Philips one a week before the Zen came down in price. I hope I made the right choice . Screen size on the Philips is great , converting movies to .wmv files via the bundled Arcsoft software takes ages on my (t)rusty pentium 3. 2hrs to convert 30mins footage.....!!!. Any other convertors out there to use instead ?? Otherwise 8gb for £50 isn't bad. Just trying to locate a case for it now.
