    lol @ geordie_lass

The reason I said about sitting on the edge comes from 2 experiences...

first about 6 years ago where I ended up slipping, grabbing a shower curtain, ripping it from the ceiling, falling on floor and waking up when it was 8pm and I'd got in the bath at 3pm

second when pregnant(2 weeks overdue) and I could not get out of the bath, took me 45 minutes. You would have thought all the gymnastics and stress would have made DS decide to come out, but oh no!

But 2 things in about 12 years of once a week is not bad I guess?!

:T My goodness you've all been busy in the last few hours, so much to catch up on. Bring it on, I love to read lots of new posts. I'm working my way through....:D

msmoo, Colour cosmetics seems to mean make-up specifically as opposed to skincare cosmetics such as P&P, at least I think it does...

Bonus points on Dioralyte?! priceless :rotfl: h007, I think you're right, it's got to be because it starts with "dior" :rotfl:

Passion, got to agree with you about the premium beauty counter ladies, I tend to go shopping dressed for comfort and without make-up (it slides off my face in those overheated stores) and always get looked at by those "snooty ladies" as if I'd grown two heads when I approach their counters.:o
PS, I just spat my scone at the screen at your Craddock line. Yes, I'm old enough to remember them too:D

elisamoose, yes, I've noticed the ladies in John Lewis are much more approachable too. I was in there recently, soaking wet and bedraggled after a heavy rainstorm, definitely looking like one of the Clampitts. The ladies on the Doir and Estee Lauder counters couldn't have been nicer, completely ignored my age and appearance and were very chatty, I came away with a few samples and felt as if I'd been treated like the queen. Boots posh staff take note :p

pollsdolls, Narciso Rodriguez, oh I love that perfume. My teens are still at home though so it's going to be a few years until I can afford to splurge, plus DD would pinch it. I'm so jealous :D

my_old_mans_a_dustman, the Botanics haircare is on BOGOF or 2 for a fiver, I forget which now. The 3 minute hair mask is lovely, leaves my hair smelling, well, sort of botanical, and very soft and shiny. I've done the corn oil and salt trick on my legs before now too, baby oil or almond oil with sugar, caster if you're delicate, works well too and smells nice. Good for cleaning hands if you've been gardening too or just as a general body scrub. Only problem I find with all the oily scrubs is that it wrecks sponges, body puffs and flannels, plus it's such a pain to clean the bath afterwards. I should have staff :rotfl:

hotpot4, nice hoard. I still haven't come across the RoC GWP in any stores local to me, it looks like a nice one.

I'm taking a breather for a large coffee now before I read the rest. :T

Thanks for that geordie_lass, you either have a great memory, or you take notes as you are going along.:T :T Very organised though. I won't try it, as I will end up answering the wrong people.:o

Anyone want half a jar of Spa Sea Salt Scrub? I think I'm going to take pollsdolls tip and get my sander out. Mine has a vacuum cleaner attachment don't you know? :rotfl:

Oh geordie_lass this was so very funny, I laughed myself soft with it. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Thanks for sharing it. Typical kids though:D :D And all that washing!!!

You should sell the script to a comedy show as I could visualise every greasy little bit of it. Get that sander out girl, but be careful with that attachment :p:p

Would I get these two for free if i used the acm + pc vouchers?? thanks guys for any helpxx

This is exactly what I got , my voucher beeped ( ACM one PC one fine)..SA tried to void off the shampoo and it would not take it off total . So had to make purchase and then SA refunded me in a separate transaction .

I do that with olive oil, also I put a smear of olive oil around my outer eye, mum has done this for years and not a wrinkle in sight, mind you she also drinks the stuff...bleurgh!

A doctor told me that the best thing for really dry skin on the arms (and so I suppose the legs) is Crisco. That's basically the same thing as Trex, it's vegetable oil shortening used in baking. I tried that for awhile and he was absolutely right, it was cheap and worked better than expensive bath oils I had used. But I was always hiding it away lest some date notice it sitting on the bathroom counter and wonder what in the world I did with that in the bathroom, lol. I eventually stopped using it. But it does work well and is cheap, too. If I ever get really dry skin again that nothing else helps, I'll go back to it.
