None of our stores have the GWP in. Although lovely SA said keep receipt and if they come in then produce receipt and get one.

    Awesome shop!

Soooo jealous about the jam sessions! (love the stuff!) lol

Just wondering, which stores this was all in?
Might have to take a break (run for the hills) from revising to go and check out my locals!;)

Sorry not ignoring you heard DD scream went to investigate and she had been hit in the face by a frog:rotfl: She was playing ball with puppy.

These were in a couple of the Hull stores:o

:T My goodness you've all been busy in the last few hours, so much to catch up on. Bring it on, I love to read lots of new posts. I'm working my way through....:D

msmoo, Colour cosmetics seems to mean make-up specifically as opposed to skincare cosmetics such as P&P, at least I think it does...

Bonus points on Dioralyte?! priceless :rotfl: h007, I think you're right, it's got to be because it starts with "dior" :rotfl:

Passion, got to agree with you about the premium beauty counter ladies, I tend to go shopping dressed for comfort and without make-up (it slides off my face in those overheated stores) and always get looked at by those "snooty ladies" as if I'd grown two heads when I approach their counters.:o
PS, I just spat my scone at the screen at your Craddock line. Yes, I'm old enough to remember them too:D

elisamoose, yes, I've noticed the ladies in John Lewis are much more approachable too. I was in there recently, soaking wet and bedraggled after a heavy rainstorm, definitely looking like one of the Clampitts. The ladies on the Doir and Estee Lauder counters couldn't have been nicer, completely ignored my age and appearance and were very chatty, I came away with a few samples and felt as if I'd been treated like the queen. Boots posh staff take note :p

pollsdolls, Narciso Rodriguez, oh I love that perfume. My teens are still at home though so it's going to be a few years until I can afford to splurge, plus DD would pinch it. I'm so jealous :D

my_old_mans_a_dustman, the Botanics haircare is on BOGOF or 2 for a fiver, I forget which now. The 3 minute hair mask is lovely, leaves my hair smelling, well, sort of botanical, and very soft and shiny. I've done the corn oil and salt trick on my legs before now too, baby oil or almond oil with sugar, caster if you're delicate, works well too and smells nice. Good for cleaning hands if you've been gardening too or just as a general body scrub. Only problem I find with all the oily scrubs is that it wrecks sponges, body puffs and flannels, plus it's such a pain to clean the bath afterwards. I should have staff :rotfl:

hotpot4, nice hoard. I still haven't come across the RoC GWP in any stores local to me, it looks like a nice one.

I'm taking a breather for a large coffee now before I read the rest. :T

Forgot to mention there was also some reduced items in the Botanics range and also the Boots Essential Aromotherpy range.

I'm never sure about the Botanics range I don't like the packaging.

Last night also got pack of 2 Dove soap for 74p reduced to half price.

    Hi everyone,
I'd love some advice from all you mums out there!
A work colleague has just announced her second pregnancy, and I would like to get her pressie- everyone else will get things for the baby, so I would like to get something for her.
Had a look at Boots in the baby section  (never ventured over there before lol), but could only find a pretty poor selection of sanctuary and med things- only 2 or 3 products in each range  . (And neither of my local branches are doing the med gift bag  ). Are the pregnancy products eg bath soak/ scrub any different from normal versions?

If any of you have any suggestions of what she might appreciate I'd be so grateful. I don't want to spend a fortune (£10 max) but would love to make the most of that budget and get her a special treat. I'm not in the pc club so have no vouchers. If anyone has any ideas, please share them :D

    Thanks in advance x

A possiblity: Even without PC vouchers, you get a lovely Med gwp if you spend £10, so you could buy some of the med range (regular or pregnancy) and get the free gift. Perhaps a couple of the £4 items and a £2 mini to take you to £10, and then the free gwp? Or else the two med pregnancy massage butters and the free gift? You'd have a very lovely gift there for half of what it should've cost, as the med gwp normally sells for £10 (thanks to other Bootsers for that info, btw). :)

Edit: oops, just noticed your branches aren't doing the med gift bag! Doh! They do have it online, so if you have time to do an order (and especially if you need some other things so you can order enough for free shipping), then the med items are a nice option.

    IWell, rant over !

bought the No7 body polish -- not impressed -my skin needs something a bit more heavy duty i think!

I need heavy duty too, so I use the buffer and sander of my OH Bosch drill. It's great as there is no mess. All the 'bits' go into the bag., job done Voila!! :T :T

    P.S Boots don't sell them

 The same person that wrote the *Johnny and Fanny Craddock doughnut script when Johnny said: "I hope all your doughnuts turn out like Fannies" :D :rotfl:

    I don't remember it btw, but it's a classic :)

(*Younger members - try Google ;))
LMAO at this. :rotfl: :rotfl: If you don't remember it, how come you quote it so well:rolleyes:

BTW. I do remember Fanny & Johnny, but it was when televisions were run on gas so it was quite hard to view.:D

I remember fanny being blown up by an oven.:o :o It was about the time that Boots was called Timothy whites, before it became Timothy Whites and Taylor, before it became the Boots we know and Love. :heartpuls

I find the best thing for dry skin on legs is to get rock sea salt and mix it with some cooking oil mix them together and rub on your legs. Rinse with water and then pat dry, I know it doesn't smell nice but it works:D
I do that with olive oil, also I put a smear of olive oil around my outer eye, mum has done this for years and not a wrinkle in sight, mind you she also drinks the stuff...bleurgh!
