The person involved had her card taken and destroyed (along with alot of points) and her details passed to Boots fraud department.Altogether a nasty experience . I am not sure what tipped them off , but i suppose if you use a store regularly, or are overheard discussing glitches or have a connection (however tenuous) to a staff member then you could be rumbled! Also remember that Mr B reads this thread- a Bootster was quoted from her own posts in a letter from Boots responding to a complaint!
I know there are those who get away with it and some who have multiple personalities to get extra cards etc but I really dont think it is worth the risk!
Thanks for that info elisamoose, I applied for one online but it will be getting cut up when it arrives. It's just not worth the risk.:grinheart “Truly Great Madness Cannot Be Achieved Without Significant Intelligence.”:grinheart0 -
I've just dragged my half-asleep brain through the last ten pages of this thread to find out if anyone has mentioned yet about men's toiletries being on 342? Including the Men's No7? So if you specifically want the men's No7 GWP, you can get it with the 342 offer.
Just wanted to mention that not all the No7 SAs know about this valk_scot, just in case anyone's been told otherwise, as we were - twice!
It was only when it went through the till as 342 that the penny dropped for this particular No7 SA, but it did make me wonder how many other people had been turned away. I know we were tempted to shop elsewhere, but I also knew she was wrong, so for onceI stood my ground. And very liberating it was too

Need to buy and office gift this morning, wondering if anyone can clarify this for me:
Can I get No7 Glossy hair spritz x2 and No7 Lip protection x2 and use the £5 off PC voucher and the 200 pts mag voucher?
So total to pay would be £6.50 and 200 pts?
Anybody know of a cheaper combo?:A Carpe Diem:A
 WINS = Nothing...I never seem to win anything!:roll eyes:

I realised I would get rumbled when a SA who serves me alot said that she lived up the road from me and got the same bus to work! Also met someone I had been good friends with 10 years ago and lost touch with who now works in Boots and seems to be on the till everytime i go there! She knows how old my children are! Plus am getting past the havi g a baby age myself- not difficult to work out that PC not appropriate! Perhaps it is time for them to have a grandparent club- I might look like i qualify for that lol!
All it takes is for someone to recognise you and put 2 and 2 together and at best you have an embarrassing moment in Boots and at worst a fraud investigation!0 -

This is the hackett sparay that was reduced to £1.89, there were loads of other hackett stuff reduced as well.
This was reduced in my store yesterday as well, loads of it including hair gel and aftershave...all 3 4 2. It has been repackaged0 -
When i was in Durham marketplace yesterday the SA was filling the reduced shelf with a truck load of Venus razors with 4 replacement blades, marked up at £2.22...or near enough.. a bargain!! I bought 6!!!0

Actually, as the GWP is with ANY No7 you could choose the woman's GWP instead according to the T&C on the SEL. I just mentioned the above as in my big local Boots (Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh) they not only had the SEL for 342 under the main men's No& displey, they had a pile of mens GWP there too and another note saying "Get this GWP with the current 342 offer" or similar wording. It wasn't an "official" sign though, but looked like it had been made in the office.
I have to say once again that the Fort Kinnaird SA's are the best, including the three N07 SA's who seem genuinely delighted at how good a bargain they can put through the tills for you. Last night I ended up blethering to one for about half an hour about all the different products, came away with a pile of samples and ended up spending £40 with her too, come to think of it, but going away with a huge carrier of N07 for her troubles, including both GWP. She gave me a couple of Arden samples as well. I wish the reps on the other posh cosmetic counters were as lavish...they're fine, they're friendly, but they know me and they know I don't buy their stuff so they don't feel they have to give me much, awww.......Val.0 -

I have a tube of Tri-Aktiline Instant Deep Wrinkle Filler, I paid £24.99 and have used it 3 times but find it makes my eye area itchy. I weighed it on my scales, it says 30g with the lid off(don't know how much the rest of the tube weighs) On the packaging it says 30ml so I don't know how to convert grams to mls. If anyone is interested to swap for a voucher or something else please pm me:D
cdodd kindly posted that 1g = 1ml so 30 mls = 30g(thank you:D)
I reckon there must be at least 27ml of product left then:D
UPDATE: I returned the cream and got a giftcard, thanks to twig's advice:T Thanks again hun:beer::grinheart “Truly Great Madness Cannot Be Achieved Without Significant Intelligence.”:grinheart0 -

Sorry for quoting all of your post - wasn't sure where to snip
The main store locally had the signs on everything but the men's No7 and I'm not sure whether that particular store had any signs about being able to mix and match the gwp's either. But in that particular store, I can't say I've found one helpful No7 SA yet, but there's some really good ones elsewhere (can't say which is which for obvious reasons
)
As for the other reps - I don't avoid them, they seem to avoid meBut I suspect I know the reason why: I dress as comfortably as possible (scruffy but comfy lol) but even if I was to get togged up, they've put me off buying in Boots.
They seem to forget that people of a certain agei.e. me lol, have enough expendable income to buy their ranges and I think they misguidedly target the younger customers, who probably have less dosh. Silly really isn't it?
Maybe I should walk by with a wad of notes
I should stress that this only happens in one large but local store (just in case any Clinique/Clarin/Dior etc SA's are reading and think I'm on a downer with all of them.)Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0
