Particularly as NatWest and RBOS are the same company.
You're quite correct, but obsessed_saver was transferring to Bank of Scotland...which has no connection with NatWest, being part of the HBOS group. :)

These are printed inside the front cover of your cheque book

I find this annoying because my LTSB had all the details on the card but my Alliance and Leicester does not. I do not carry my cheque book around so a bit of a pain to note sortcode and acc number

Thing with Lloyds is I've found the following web pages:
    http://www.lloydstsb.com/ways_to_bank_with_us/faster_payments.asp

Anyone had a faster payment sent via LLoyds?

That page talks a load of rubbish. I read it the other day so when my fiancee came to transfer some money from her Lloyds account to our joint HSBC, I told her to use Telephone Banking to do it rather than Internet Banking. She rang up on Wednesday afternoon and the money didn't leave her account until Thursday morning, and still hasn't arrived yet!

I hate Lloyds, they are such a terrible terrible bank.

I've just noticed that Nationwide has reset my standing orders due to leave on 28th (a Saturday) to 30th June. I've never seen this before because NW has always taken SOs 7 days a week. This could be a harbinger that the payments will go via Faster Payments (which only accepts SOs on a working day) or it could just be be in preparation for that and these particular payments will still go via BACS

Nope, still says 3 working days here. (From HSBC, which transfers to others e.g. Natwest instantly)

This is on sort code 72-50-05

all alliance and leicester current accounts have the same first 5 digits of the sortcode 72-50-0X

where your 9 digit account number is X012345678

that 9 digit number is printed on your card. you use the remaining 8 digits of that number as the account number.

Yes, I know but it would be handy to have it printed on my VISA debit, as Lloyds TSB do that
