You don't need to remove pics and stuff if you have low virtual memory.
XP should handle this by itself.
(Personally McAfee is probably to blame! but i hate McAfeelol )

Hi, which operating system are you using, XP, Vista?
How much RAM is currently installed?
What size hard drive and how much free space?
On booting up computer, open Task Manager / Processes tab and check the number of processes that are running.
Post back with results or if unsure0 -
Exo I have tried what solitaire posted & will see how that goes...partly because I woudnt have a clue how to check how much RAM (or even what RAM is for that matter!!) or hard drive & how much space free!! I can tell you I'm using XP!!! Sorry...wasnt joking when I said I was computer phobic!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

used 11%, free 24%...Capacity 35%...?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

For RAM capacity, just open System Properties.
Hold down the Windows key then press the pause/break key. This will open the System Properties window.
Under Computer it will show details of CPU and then the amount of RAM.
For the processes running, right click on the taskbar, select Task Manager from the pop up menu and then select the Processes tab. The number running will be shown in the bottom left corner.
Check this immediately after booting the computer as additional processes will be added as you use the computer and I do not wish to include these.
I had not responded earlier as I was under the impression you were still trying Solitaire's solution.0 -
