Virtual Memory Minimum

Options
For the last 3 or 4 days Ive been getting an error message 'Windows Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low' -Windows is increasing the size or your Virtual Memory paging file.
Is there any way I can automatically increase the size of this paging file? As when Windows is updating this file everything goes very slowly.
Im using Windows XP
Thanks for any help:beer:

    OK
    Go to:

    Start
    then
    Control Panel
    then
    System Properties

    Click on Advanced

Then click the Performance "Settings" button

    Click on Advanced

Click the Virtual Memory "Change" button

Set it to "Custom size" and enter "512" for the minimum and "2048" for the maximum.

The 2 values may already be there, if they are then double them.

Or you could click "system managed size".

Click the "Set" button. then close all the windows

    Then reboot... :D
    Laters

Or a quicker route, hold the Windows key or your keyboard and hit the Pause/Break button to bring up the System Properties, then Advanced etc as per S0litair's post!

Also have a read of: http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.php

I know you love pointing to that link but technically that page does not hold up in several instances, also if you note it is published by a ms-mvp, in lay terms that is a salesman
I will go thru the failings in that article at some stage no problem but am a bit busy with a legal problem at mo (see consumer vent board), and only pop on here for quick distraction
