NS&I Direct ISA sort code for transfer

Hi

Sorry if this may be a bit of a daft question but I am trying to transfer last year's ISA from NS&I to Icesave and the transfer form requests my account no and sort code of current provider. I obviously have my account no. but can't find the sort code anywhere on any statements etc from NS&I.
Anyone know where I can find it?
Thanks
C

  • I transfered from ns&i to icesave a couple of weeks ago, I just left the sort code blank , it was transfered within 3 weeks with no problems

Hi I am just planning to do the same.

    Transfer NS&I to Icesave

So putting my NS&I Account Number into "account number" and leaving the sort code blank will be okay?

Please could someone let me know - I dont want my money in limbo!

You are likely to face exactly the same situation when you eventually transfer from Icesave, in my experience.

I transferred a Cash Isa from Icesave to LTSB in March and was faced with the same 'no sort code' situation as far as the Icesave account was concerned.

    Hi everyone,

I just got my application sent back. Are you supposed to go online and open a ISA with them first then send the transfer form in?
I have already subscribed into my 2008/2009 allowance.

You need to open the ISA first. Don't pay anything in, just send the transfer form to them.

This is what we did. My ISA was transferred within a week, whereas OH's ISA took 3 weeks. Why the disparity?
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:
