Unlocking a Nokia 3100

Apologies if someone has asked this question before.

My daughter has a vodafone nokia 3100. I tried to unlock it with some codes that a friend in work gave me. No joy.

A friendly MSE person gave me the code but also advised me that if I tried more than 5 times to unlock it without success the codes were invalid and a message comes up on the phone saying unsuccessful.

Is there any other method I can use to unlock it short of going to a phone shop and paying over the odds.

Try here - http://unlock.nokiafree.org/ - the instructions are easy to follow and codes will unlock the phone. I've used this site several times to unlock Nokia 3100's.
Are you down to your last attempt to unlock the phone or have you several tries left ? Even in your local market will only cost a tenner or less.
