Best Broadband deal

V21 have this offer, £9.98 for broadband:

You have to add £2 onto the prices for the real price as they reduce it by that amount if you have their phone line too.
But 11.98 would appear very good for for 2mb 2gb transfer.
It appears better than the best in Marins articl from a few months ago:

Can anyone offer a better alternative for this situation:
Currently on dial up so no broadband phoneline and no modem yet.
not a great deal of usage, almost all evenings and weekends for a few hours a week with little downloading.
Just in need of speed over dial up or dial up would be the better deal.
Thanks

This appears to be a good deal. I contacted them to see if it was a promo and liable to increase after an introductory period. They said no. Apart from peddierd's observation in another post today to watch direct debits with V21 as they can creep forward, can anyone else recommend V21 for broadband? I tried to do a search for V21 on this forum but the search engine wouldn't have it. Thanks in advance.0 -

I've recently had a friend who wanted to migrate away from V21 and they charged him £30 to generate a MAC. Most ISPs will do this for free.0

Thanks for this URL info. I'll keep an eye on it.Toxteth_OGrady wrote:V21 reviews here don't look too good.0 -
I am on V21 dial up, avery good service but can't comment on the ADSL.
What they do have is a very good forum when the V21 Tec guys lurk and help out on all sorts of things. Not a lot of people know about the forum but from there you get any problem resolved very quickly.
You can also have a read and see the sorts of problems people are talking about:
