oh and don't assume the comp is always going to be on the first page of the search, I've just done another merge :rolleyes: but had to go back 5 pages to get it

I wouldn't mind also if people searched and it never came up(i've found this myself when posting duplicates) but it does when it's so obvious that they haven't searched but say in the OP that i have searched and didn't find it.I then go and search myself and it's the very next thread or two down:/

I dont think the fancy clickys will make it any different to search as they still have the web address for the comp embedded in them like normal clickys?

i always do fancy clickys and my urls searches work

I think the search picks up anyway through all the *Click Heres* etc..

Although happy to just post the link, if it makes life easier?:D

When i have used advance search it has never picked it up..
But it does say in the Sticky
Vbulletin search can be a bit temperamental so please be nice to MoneySavers that do duplicate – it’s not always their fault

no it doesn't always pick it up so I try to do that and then one word. But that's not foolproof. :wall:

I am not in to clickys but, sorry if this sounds nitpicking, I cannot see how a url is more of an advert than copying and pasting huge amounts from the site which seems contrary to the "Forum Etiquette" box >>>> see on the right where it plainly says to "take care over copyright" and "to use excerpts and links rather than copying long text"

I think that's why I can never find any comps that are not already posted

I search using everything I think it might be under and it's always there hiding somewhere already

Must brush up on my comp finding skills, has anyone got any tips? lol

P.S. On search when there is a clicky link I think it puts the address it links to in brackets next to it
