Daren't say who it is until I've contacted them and they have replied. You never know, they might be lurkers on here
I'd rather email than phone as I find it easier to put my point across. Could do with some points to put across tho so if anyone can help with the wording that would be fab. Thanks for all your help up to now.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Some comps on here, they say, if you win and don't reply within about 3 days they'll reallocate your prize so does that mean it's illegal? To be fair to the comp companies in these situations I think it tends to be for the competitions where the prize is something like concert tickets so there is a need to get the tickets to someone...0 -

Just for clarity it wasn't concert tickets or even anything edible, it could have sat on his shelf and even have a thick layer of dust covering it before he sent it out.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Ms Chocoholic, he may be telling the truth, maybe he did not receive the email although you sent it, or maybe he accidentally erased it or it went to junk....so as much as you want to strangle him, be polite and maybe even a little humourous. I am not going to ask what it is you've won as I understand you don't want to jinx it, but maybe refer to it in the letter, just be nice!! And then be firm by saying, you understand he may not have received it but here's proof you sent it....
If he either ignores you or does not give you an outcome you think is fair, then follow the advice given here by Lilias.0 -

I still have the email I sent on 1 Aug in my outbox.
Is it in your sent box or your outbox?

It means click the option to notify you when the recipient has received, and read (not the same thing!) the email you've sent. Hotmail for one does not seem to have this function so I don't know if you can get it....good point by the OP though.0 -
It's a little message that is sent back to your inbox to show that your email has been received and read by the recipient.
In Outlook, you set it up by selecting Tools-> Options-> Preferences then clicking on the email options button then selecting Tracking Options where there is an option that says for every message I send, request Read Receipt.
