You havent caused bad feeling on here, dont worry.
You wanted advice on your rights etc, I think some people took some of what others were saying in the wrong way, as we al do from time to time.
If you need legal advice, look in the yellow pages and most solicitors do a free 30 minutes appointment were they can advise you.
I really hope you get everything sorted and that later in the year you will come back with good news for everyone, itll all work out in the end.

I have also read somewhere that SS will only help the children and not me, so my babies would be taken into Care and there is no way I would ever let that happen.
Don't worry about that for a second. If you are evicted by your LL, that is NO REASON for your children to be taken into care.
PasturesNew was bang on the money (as she usually is). This isn't your fault, and you CAN cope with it.
Shelter are brilliant, so do give them a ring ASAP.
Are you getting help for the PND?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Please read blue_monkey's thread, it is a matter of working your way through the system, the council will have a duty to rehouse you and then you will have permanant, secure accomodation for your family, but they do try to wriggle out of their duty.
You will see that blue_monkey was so worried and confused at the beginning of it all but you can see the change in her as she began to realise how it all worked and she got there in the end, you will too, don't worry
Do phone Shelter I am sure they will not just give advice but may be able to provide someone to help yu through this difficult time, the council can try and trip you up and make it all sound worse than it is, but Shelter are the experts and will know exactly how to help you through this and of course the council know they are the experts and will 'play up' less hen they know Shelter are helping you.
Forget solicitors, they will not be interested unless there is lots of money to be earned and although they may be able to advice you about your tenancy they won't know how the council and the system works so they will be of no help in that way. You already know if have a tenancy until December and you cannot be made to leave before that, it is the rest you need help with.
Go on phone Shelter now, they know exactly what to do and stop worrying if you can
Keep posting, we want to know you are OKLoretta0 -
If the OP if planning to go the "I'm not moving, evict me" route in order to get the council to house her it is probably worth her having a quiet, "unofficial" word with the landlord and advising that that is what she is being forced to do by law by the council and that she doesn't like doing it but has no choice.
In the meantime she'll show people round and do the best she can to help the landlord sell the property.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0
