Cancelling within cooling off period

Hi, sorry, yet another silly question from me. I got my phone (SE W890i) the other day but I really don't like it. The signal is up and down like a yo-yo and if placed in my pocket there is no reception. How I am meant to carry it around I don't know.
So, how do I go about returning it? Can I return it?! I just called up customer services and the guy told me to phone 08000790103. I take it they are the people who deal with this sort of thing?

Sorry I'm sure I typed in where I got it, then my computer acted up *kicks it* It was from the Orange online shop. I *think* I just need to phone up that number, tell them I want to cancel (Wednesday is when I bought the contract), and tell them to cancel the Sim port, would that work? I've read conflicting advise.0
