It is a lot less hassle not to recieve it! Sometimes I put things on the side "to read later" it never gets read and my house receives unecessary clutter

  • A single line though the address and please do not contact me again scribbled by it, sent back in the pre-paid envelope seems to do more good.

I haven't seen an AOL CD through the post or a Capital One junk letter in ages. Shame about the ones they put in magazines though...

A couple of twists on pre-paid envelope returning trick...

I like to put as much paper in the recycling as possible, so I rip out the little plastic windows from old envelopes... the paper goes in the green box and the plastic in the Capital One/Lloyds TSB/MBNA envelope.

Doyou get hacked off with pizza/indian/chinese/minicab leaflets being stuffed through your door? Well why not send a few of these as well.

Also, don't worry if the envelope is not pre-paid... just stuff it in anyway as they will get clobbered for the extra charge.

By the way, I have registered with the MPS but I still get heaps of !!!!!! through the letterbox!
