Can someone please recommend where to park in Edinburgh for free or at least cheap?!
Preferably as close to the city centre as possible, but happy to walk if necessary.
Thanks

Any time I've gone to Edinburgh, I've parked at Hermiston Park and Ride which is free, then got a bus into the City Centre (£1 each way). This suits me as I'm going in on business, but I guess if you are carrying loads of stuff, it might not be preferable.Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0

On street free parking is available in Pilrig Street which is about half way down Leith walk and a 10-15 minute walk to Princes Street or St James Centre.:j0

Its now £1.10 but if you use the ticket machines on Princes Street (they may be other places too) you still pay £1
Day ticket is £2.50 which allows you to travel on any buses all day.
and thanks to loadsofcash for this tip, look out for an Ikea offer on the back of bus tickets which gives you £10 off a £20 spend, apparently its orange coloured on the back.0 -

You don't say from which direction you're coming? If its Fife, come along passed Edinburgh Zoo on main road and take Murrayfield Avenue (just opp Eastern BMW garage at Roseburn) there's loads of free parking up there and takes approx 20 mins to walk to Princes Street. I do it 2 or 3 times a week, and its keeping me really fit!0
