Martin ...just the thing, My Wife's mother (a nice lady) passed away last year (18/11/04) and I have been banging on and on to all brothers and sisters (et all and sundry) that " Daddy MUST write his will!!!"he is 83 years old! wise and intellegent but nevertheless 83 years old! - I worry otherwise that large amount of nasty stuff will fall upon my wife's and others ( The childrens? ) heads when he finally shuffles off this mortal coil.......maybe just maybe you can shove the old feller to recognise the sense of writing a will! :A
This must be the nightmare of oodles of us 60's ravers!.....EddyShoestring

It will be gratifying to be able to speak at dinner parties on how intestacy actually works - and it will help focus my mind on the forever-postponed task of making my own Will.0

It's not a pleasant thought but we all die at some point and if you don't want to leave chaos and distress behind you, the answer is to write a will; something many of us never get round to doing. The Which Wills and Probate book contains 'practical and easy to follow advice' on how to write a will without the need of a solicitor.
What to do?
I've been given 5 copies to give away to MoneySavers. All I ask is that the winners come back and rate it on its MoneySaving power and usefulness.
If you're interested click in the box at the bottom of this thread, type "yes please" and then click send to post the message on the forum. I'll pick 5 people at random. You need to be registered on the chat forum to do it (go here).
This is not the same as signing up to the email (that's separate). It's completely free and your details aren't used for anything else.0 -
