    I moved the earlier post and explained why as discount codes are only allowed on the Discount Vouchers board, for legal reasons. I was not online at the time of the second posting and I moved this thread as soon as I saw it, for the same reasons.

    Please remember that Board Guides are volunteers. I do have other commitments and move/edit posts when necessary but also when I have the time to do so. Please be patient. Many people send helpful PMs to Board Guides if they feel that a post has been incorrectly placed. This is far more helpful than comments hidden amongst other threads. :)

    I have sent a PM to the Board Guide for this board and asked them to merge the two threads, as I am unable to merge threads on this board.
  • When I do checkout it says I can only be charged to my account even though I haven't got one.

  • I just emailed them and they said they had no record of my order and to order again?
    I forwarded them the confirmation email (in mangled HTML) and I await their replyl!!
  • Received fan heater today- with an invoice for £12.44. Grrrr
    Rang Daxon to say when I ordered on line my bill showed £0.00, was told that always happens (!). "Account details are not updated till the following working day". Why? I asked. "Because that's the way the system operates" (!) 'But that is missleading'
    "Sorry but if you're not happy please send an email" So that's my next step.
    She did say that code offer only applies to orders over £15. Said I didn't see this on their site - did anyone notice this? I usually read every word of 'conditions' but maybe missed it. Please let me know before I mail them to 'kick off'

    ( and this was going to be my first decent freebie - boo hoo )

    For those of you who have been unfortunate enough to have been charged for the fan heater on a credit card, yet have the email order confirmation stating the final price will be £0.00, have you tried contacting your credit card company and requesting a "charge back" to be initiated, since Daxon have obviously charged your credit card with more money than you had authorised them to, and they appear unwilling to correct this?

    The discount was being advertised on the home page of their own website - it certainly was initially without mention of a minimum spend, then someone reported they had changed it to state a minimum spend of £15 was required.

    If it was for a minimum spend of £15, then the email confirmation should not have awarded you the discount. Also how come some lucky people (like me :j ) have obtained the heater free of charge?
    (I guess they could try debiting my new credit account with the money, but with the evidence of an email order confirmation and a delivery note stating the item was FREE, they won't be getting any of my money, nor the see the heater again :p )

  • I didn't give any card details so have received an invoice for my heater £12.44.
    Spoken to Daxon on the phone- no joy.
    Forwarded them a copy of my 0.00 confirmation invoice and threatened them with Trading Standards.
    Surprise surprise no reply.
    I have decided to put the heater to one side and see if they send out a payment reminder.
    fingers crossed, it ain't half cold here in Wales.
