not strictly true, obviously. my original post, elaborated upon by donnie and chris15, is still the most likely problem, you have burnt a data disk, not a video disk.

I thought that too, but I thought the whole point of the Share Station was to automate the conversion and burning of the original .MOD file to DVD Video.

Perhaps it is not a simple as all that.

until OP sticks the disk in a pc and views the content we may never know...

when i put the disc in the computer how do i get description up of video file sorry to be so janet and john but i know nothing about this type of thing it seems so easy to you all but to the ignorant ME i cant understand the disc plays automatic so how do i find type?

When you put the disk in the drive close the playback window
if you are using windows xp, go into "my computer" right click on the dvd drive (usually d:) and select explore from the menu, then you should see the files there

Is that the only file there?
