From today Asda is cutting the price of petrol/diesel by 2p - so 85.9p unleaded and diesel 90.9p across the UK.

snag with all this Asda fuel might be...
i have an Audi with a smart computer in it that works out mpgs etc.
I reckon that on Asda diesel I get (got as I won't be buying it again) 6 miles less to the gallon... so if there's only 1 or 2 pence difference between that and BP/Shell/Esso, I'll be buying their better quality fuel!

All fuel(petrol/diesel) comes from the same depots.
There is absolutely no way that you get more mpg from BP/Shell/etc.
If you did these companies would never stop advertising the fact. Also magazines like Which and other motoring companies would run 'back to back' tests to demonstrate this.
Another 'Urban Myth!'0 -
Yesterday ASDA Norwich 85.9 (unleaded) compared to JET 88.9 !0

None of the supermarkets do. And as I was hoping to keep my car for a long time, I used quality fuel to keep it all running nice.
It's not an 'Urban Myth', I've been to Coryton and seen it myself.0 -
It's no urban myth - the computer is telling me so, and believe me, I am an obsessive checker. So far Shell and BP giving 6-8 mpg more than Asda on normal running - on motorway-type running, I think there is even more of a difference...
I too am surprised that eg Which haven't done anything on it....0
