I've ended up in credit at the end of contracts twice recently. In both cases the company concerned weren't going to bother to send me the refund.
Orange were really sly - the refund was listed on page 2 of my 'final bill' and page 1 was just the usual advertising rubbish that I always throw away.
But 3 weren't much better. They seemed surprised that I wanted the money refunded!
In future I'll be cancelling the last direct debit before it's drawn and then paying their final invoice by cheque.
I hope this helps someone.
Best wishes, Neil
