  • I think someone said it was 7-10days, i'm waiting to hear about mine but that does'nt count the bank holiday so it could be a little bit longer.

I got mine yesterday. They made a mistake and got my daughter who gets high rate mobility rate of DLA and low rate care and they got her down for higher rate care.

We rang them and told them as soon as we fond out. But it seems they a made a mistake last time too. We only got DLA in March backdated to June 07 and it seems they been paying us for higher rate care when they gave us a lump sum from back dated money.

We have told them everything right haven't tried to fiddle them I can never work out what we should be getting. They have now put us on basic rate until its sorted and we been told we have to complain. We told them what we got coming in they told us they record all conversations, we rang them when we got the DLA and we then got a lump sum I assume because we entitled to more due to her disability. If I knew it was a mistake I would have told them

We never know where the hell we are with them, my OH works odd hours some months its better than others this last tax year we earned less.
  • I'm the same, worried sick if they mess it up or we get it reduced big time.We rely on it so much (which is wrong i know). If any over payment does'nt get paid in , does it mean we have been overpaid, and so our payments would be reduced ?

  • Every year we have had ours messed up too. They keep leaving one of my children off the notice, so we have to ringing them up and tell them.I so hope it's right this year, with money being so short.

I did ours over the phone and it arrived around two weeks later, if I remember rightly. Wasn't very long anyway!

What do you mean by this? They only ask you a few simple questions you should already have the answers for.

7-10 days after the renewal has been processed is the approximate timescale.

If they need any further information they will write back to you within about 2 weeks.
