I've found a recipe for "Smoked bacon & plums", but it uses fresh ones.
If it's that thick, sweet & sticky, it shouldn't take too much work to turn it into a plum sauce for some Peking duck. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

To my surprise, for such a classic Chinese dish, I can't find a recipe in the culinary library. However, it's basically shredded duck meat, fine strips of raw cucumber & spring onion, the plum sauce and a stack of little pancakes. You assemble it at the table: put some plum sauce on the pancake, then the duck & vegetables, roll it up and try to eat it without it squirting everywhere. It's sort of like a Chinese tortilla.
A quick "Google" found this ...

Personally, I reckon their recipe is a little bit over-engineered, but it shows what we're aiming for.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

Happily, Photobucket have ruined a perfectly good site and made it almost impossible to use. I bet they thought they were helping, too. :mad:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
