It was only 3 days later after the service that they deem your brakes unsafe? The service, they should have removed the wheels and inspected the brakes thoroughly and cleaned them. Any worries should have been reported - even if only pads half worn, it should've been stated.
On the MOT, the wheels are not removed and they look thru them at the brakes.
Personally, not only would I kick up a stink, but I would try and find someone independant and good, to look at the brakes and let you know what is correct. Are brakes fine? If so, service side is good. Are the brakes shot? MOT side good, service side crap and need huge telling off (putting it politely).
I'd love to know how you get on and if your brakes are good or not - good luck.Genie

We are about to kick up a stink. It is the main peugeot dealer and just having a few people on here say that it sounds dubious has given me the confidence to go back to them.
That explains the pricing then. Unless the cars under warranty I would never get it serviced at dealer as the prices are ridiculous.
and the above post beat me to it, but find a good independent dealer/mechanic who doesn't charge an arm and a leg.0 -
Contact garage tell them you are not happy ask what they are going to do about it. If no joy contact manufacturer and ask them abouy that service and tell them what the garage has done and what they are going to do about (the manufacturers reputation relies on the dealer).
If still no joy trading standards etc might be worth a shot if you are up to it.0 -
