I`ve been insane since Xmas...as OH decided to go down BR route ...leaves me in tricky position!! to say the least!

Anyway I would cancel DDRs this will encouragae the companies to write..... & then will send a bill....all taking 2-6 weeks... so giving time to sort the situation. If they call just say `problem with account`...please send a bill etc, etc. Will give you more time.

Thanks for good wishes tomorrow...I`ve spoken to CCCS & Nat Debtline but think I`m one of those people that needs to engage on a `one to one basis` to work out solutions...I will , no doubt, post more questions!!!

    Cheers Angex

I am like you. NDL and CCCs were fab, but we also went to see CAB as I like a one to one, so to speak. And have got the one to one with a Debt Specialist on 10 June, it can't come soon enough!

We were both going BR but then OH had the very good idea of it just being me. Actually, that sounds like a cunning plan from him!:rotfl: Seriously, he was spot on. Majority of debts are in my name, I am not working and he is, makes perfect sense.

Thats what i did and on paper it would have worked, but due to other factors my OH found herself out of work so 'we' are back to square one BUT with a more manageble leval of debt, all i need to do now is convince her creditors of that, which i will whether they like it or not or they will all lose;)

Other way for me although I have debts as well . OH went BR & has had bad effect on our relationship but I understand why he had to do it.

Sadly we are neg eq on property that I have moved out of so we need quick sell or I am BR also !!

I bet the CAB guy will wish he had`nt said bring all documents!!! I have a boot full!!!

    3 hour appointment then!!

Got Doctors first thing so probably have to wade through the tears first...I think that debt should carry a health warning....it`s up there with fags & drugs!!!!!

BaaB - So you went BR and not your OH? But now she is out of work? Did I read that right. Sorry if I didn't, its been a long day. :D

I am a bit confused what happens with my I&E. I don't work, so everything is paid for by OH. How will I work that out? And do I have to do an IPA?

I hear you! Hope it goes ok hun. xxx Hope doctor has given me a long slot for my appointment tomorrow. Last time I saw her, I had been off work a few months and thought I was getting mild depression. She gave me a PEP talk. Then 2 weeks later, mum died out of the blue, then it went downhill from there, depression and finances got worse. I need a bit more than a PEP talk now, I think, but a PEP talk is always good. :D

If you dont have an income as such you wont get an IPA.

Due to epilepsy ive been on IB for several years so i didnt have an income as such as it was benefit based.

Now if your a house wife and most the debts are solely in your name i would go BR youself first and see if you can manage your OH can always follow if it doesnt work

This is all assuming ther are no other factors involved (need to read your whole thread/situation:o )

We should be able to manage the debts left in OH's name. He gets good commission some months so we are going to chuck it at his and get them cleared. Just wasn't sure how I would fill in an I&E. As I don't contribute, I assume I just put in what OH pays?

    Sorry to be a pain.

Thank you! I know I might get a bit tearful there to begin with but I am determined it will be a positive doctor's appointment by the end of it. I always feel mum with me, she was(is) my best friend. Thanks. xx
