I think my comment was misunderstood. I said ask for a debt specialist at the CAB - as far as I know a debt specialist can be a paid worker or a volunteer but one that has specialist knowledge in debt! No one can be expected to know everything.

Hi and welcome to the board.

The CAB are quite good but they are overstretched at the minute and some people have not been getting good advice. Please also ring National Debtline or the CCCS ( telephone numbers in my signature.) Get as much advise as possible.

Bankruptcy is not an easy option so be prepared for that. If you have any questions just start your own thread and we will do our best to help.

cabvol wind your neck in mate, theres no need to troll like that. Just look on this section of the boards at the nightmares some people (not all) have had with CAB, I personally would not recommend using them but would recommend CCCS.

I used CCCS for my advice (done over phone) they send letter to prepare for phone interview, good for the fact you dont have to go wait at the CAB to book an appointment, then go back again. Because the CCS ask for all your info, it means you prepare better (which helps for your IandE/SOA and Creditors list.)

Start a new thread, take a deep breath and tell us exactly what the situation is, your own thread will mean it wont get lost.
