Ebay unpaid item

Nor do I. You haven’t said what the problem is. Can we assume a seller has started non-paying-bidder claim against you?
As my post said i collected them so how can there be non-paying-bidder claim against me

I agree with Alfie and can't see what you believe should be a problem?

I can't see anyone being sarcastic at all..you post a perfectly logical scenario and suggest there is a problem or something wrong, since the feedback rules have been discussed to death everywhere I think it was understandable not to realise you meant that you were puzzled at having got positive feedback from a sellerI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I speak from personal experience. Seller sends me a completely different item. I return it. Seller apologises that their description was wrong, refunds my PayPal payment and promptly starts an NPB claim against me. Despite explaining the situation in my response to the claim, eBay automatically find against me because the PayPal payment has been returned. I then have to go through the appeals process to get the strike removed.古池や蛙飛込む水の音0 -
Thanks to everyone who gave me advice...
Update....no response after 8 days so i have closed the dispute today and Ebay has gave the buyer an unpaid item strike.
Question....should i give the buyer a call to ask him if he does actually want the item or if he would be happy for me to relist as i was thinking he may not have had access to internet or something hence why possible non contact / payment. There is a contact number on his details. He doesn't have any negs before the non neg thing seller thing came in so figured it is out of character for him.

Personally, I would ignore the original buyer now you have won your claim. Phoning them may result in you hearing words you'd prefer not to
Just relist the item and hopefully you'll get a buyer who doesn't mess you around this time.
I'd also recommend you give serious consideration to adding the original buyer to your blocked bidders list to prevent them bidding on your items again."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Hi again, well about a week after the unpaid item has closed and i have received my fees back i get a message from the buyer saying he sent payment which he believes i didnt receive and that he explained the situation to me. He didn't, last thing he said was he would keep me updated after apparantly sending cheque without payee. He says he got a message saying he has unpaid strike and is confused as to why.
I sent him an email back saying he didn't explain what was happening with the cheque he supposedly sent so had to file for a dispute as no word from him but mentioned that if he wanted to send payment and complete the transaction i would be happy to do that and remove the strike.
Is this fair on my part? What happens in the event of him sending an unaddressed cheque to someone and it falls into the hands of someone else who cashes it? I am not sure if he sent the cheque or not as the post in our area is generally good. He never said if it had been cashed or not. But i figured if it had he would be asking for the skis which he hadnt.
Any advice now? Can he claim back from ebay saying he has paid?
TIA x0 -
I wouldn't have bothered to respond, TBH. It's been almost a month since he won the item!
I wouldn't waste any further time waiting for him to muck you about. And if he's daft enough to put a blank cheque in the post... well it's not your problem if it doesn't get to you. Don't be tempted to fall for any sob story he might come up with about someone banking it!
I think someone who takes longer than a month to pay deserves a strike, for the benefit of other sellers who can't rely on negative feedback anymore! My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Personally I would no longer deal with this buyer as I would have no faith in them. If you cancel the strike then you do realise they can leave you negative feedback don't you?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for your advice on this, i totally didn't realise if i cancelled the strike he could give me negative feedback. Pretty new to ebay so bit naive in some areas i guess. Just glad ive got the experts keeping me right
No word from him since so i gather he is less confused about the subject after my reply. Just going to forget about him now and leave him with the strike he deserves. Shame other ebayers dont know he has a strike....the feedback system was good in that sense.
How do i add him to blocked bidders list? Will he or other ebayers see he has been blocked?
