    Hi
this is what we rented, can't remember the cost sorry,

    http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/Wales/holiday-apartment-Cardiff-Glamorgan-Coast/p64282.htm

fantastic apt, in a great location, and the guy was ace to deal with, although he sometimes takes a few days to get back to you, because he is sometimes at his home in america.

    but i can't fault him.

if you speak to him tell him lynn and the family who booked for the rugby weekend recommended him.

we have booked again provisionally for the rugby again
Apartment rates quoted on website are £150 per weekend night and minimum of 2 nights bookings-this is rate until the end of May 2008. Rates £350 per night and minimum of 2 nights during World Cup period. It says it sleeps 4.

There are lots of B & Bs along Cathedral rd, which is walking distance from the Stadium and a very nice area.

The village of Carleon is just outside Cardiff and has loads of hotels and B&b you could google accomm there. We got the last 2 rooms at the Royal hotel for MM,ring as the website was not showing rooms.

would camping be an option you would consider? i know a lot of fans camped at a cardiff rugby club, by special arrangement, for the heineken cup final this weekend.

there is a campsite off of pontcanna fields, which is definately accessible via western avenue, and possibly also via cathedral road. slightly further out there are also several around lavernock point in the penarth/sully area (i should imagine it would be possible to hire a static caravan at the latter if a tent is not your style).

  • Hey,

If you are looking for cheap accommodation in Cardiff then why not give us a try?

We usually deal with normal lettings but because of the high demand, especially for rugby events, we now offer several short-term lets, from one night to whatever really.
E.g. we have a newly built 6 and a 8 bedroom flat in Cathays, which is very close to the city centre and local amenities- prices per room per night are GBP 32.50.
    Or GBP150 for a week.
The difference with this sort of accommodation is that it is not quite like staying in a hotel, we do not come with a restaurant and room service, unless you want a cleaner to come in then we arrange that however often you want it, so of course the price is a lot cheaper- but because it is owned by a private landlord it is very homely, tidy, modern (newly built) and right in the heart of Cathays in Cardiff, near bars and pubs and shops.
About 12 minutes walk to Queen Street and High Street.

If you are interested or know someone that might be interested in this, then please get in touch with me:

Thank you all and hope you enjoy whichever event you attend in Cardiff.
