There is one at a garage in Bradford, they've had it for at least a year.
My alternative is much better though.
Connect the garage to the ANPR database. If the car reg is flagged as having no tax, insurance or is listed as stolen, then no fuel is dispensed. Triple whammy and it pays for itself.
that is a good idea, only problem being is that the real criminals are getting smarter these days, they either put false plates on, or covering the plates up with some sort of film, so the camera cannot pick it up, so i think this is why they have come up with this idea.Take every day as it comes!!0 -
Some petrol stations in Spain are pay first. For example, I went in, gave the cashier more than enough cash to fill up, took the fuel then went back in to get the change. Not really very convenient, and highly error-prone. I guess that to pay by card you would have to decide in advance how much you wanted...
Card operated pumps are a good idea IMO. Just make sure they are chip & pin - some of the early models just required you to insert the card.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
