As many of you will know I've been in talks with my publisher about a MoneySavingExpert Old Style Book. Well finally the publisher has made an offer (all of my take will go to my MoneySaving kids charity) - and we're looking at it. It isn't what i want yet, but we're getting closer.

That's good to know. I'll be interested to see how they manage to distill the accumulated wisdom contained in more than two thousand threads though!!!Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Can you get it out for Christmas?
I think it would make a great pressie for loads of people, as of course great for the charity too!The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"

I think when Martin mentioned it before he was talking of a possible publication around next summer at the earliest. There's far too much work involved to even think of a publication within the next couple of months, plus he has his new Money Diet book coming out very soon, in time for xmas (I think!)"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Curry Queen is exactly right. The new Money Diet (which does include a bit more Old-Style type stuff, though not that much) is out in Nov/Dec. This book will probably be next August.
Once hired the writer has to compile the info - draft it to my brief (this book isn't being written by me, but just to make sure you know every word of the MOney Diet is - i won't be claiming that im the writer either - that's not my style) and turn it into a good book. Then get to publisher - this has at best a six to eight month time scale!

I don't suppose you are needing any volunteers.....0 -

Excellent news! Who is the publisher going to be? Is it going to be illustrated?
I'm a total book freak (from factual to fiction) as well as a total MSE freak (definately OS as well) so can't wait for this one to take shape.
Good luck - and congrats on doing it for the kids charity too.0
