Hi, have you spoken to Payplan about the problems? Creditors don't have to accept the agreement Payplan offer to them but from what I can gather they do seem to come round and accept the plan after 3 - 4 months of giving you a bit of pressure still. Ignore calls you get from creditors and either write to them to tell them to deal with you via Payplan or just forward the letters to Payplan for them to reply to. How long have you been with them? Might just be a case of persevering with them for a little while. My brother is on DMP with them and he has found them to be really good
The phone call you have has sounds very dodgy, wouldn't touch them with a barge pole if I wereMoney doesn't make you happy so I'm skint but cheerful :beer:0 -
Hello and welcome.
Paylan and CCCS are two of the best companies after reading posts on here. They are funded by the financial industry and so totally free for those with debt problems. That means they are working with your best interests in mind. I'm currently with a fee paying company and in the process of switching to payplan, as I got fed up of paying £35 a month for my DMP company to do distribute my money, when that £35 can go towards my debts!
How long have you been with them? It does take a little while creditors to agree to stopping interest etc, and even then they don't have to. I'd call them and ask what the current situation is.
Be patient, we're all here for you.:rotfl:I'm Cosmo, Cosmo Kramer! :rotfl:0 -

b) How did stepaway/walkaway get your contact details?
c) There is no such thing as a free lunch, no matter how many times one may hear it, I've never heard of the company you quote, but I suspect there will be some charges somewhere along the line.
d) NO DEBT MANAGMENT COMPANY CAN OFFER YOU MORE THAN WHAT THE DEBT CHARITIES OFFER.
e) Not legal binding, ha, if it was that easy, there would be no need for this site, and my £90.000 debt would vanish overnight, hummm, wishful thinking.
f) good luck, and do some research prior to making any decision to join a fee paying comany.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

Hi ive been with payplan bout five years and debts dont seenm to be decreasing. Its only recently that companies have been pressuring me again. Halifax is saying if i dont pay in full they will take me to court. My partner is with payplan and a company still took him to court and he is now having to pay them seperately to our agreement with payplan.
thanks for your help will stay with them.0 -
Totally agree with whats been said ,we are with Payplan and they have helped us big time. Payplan cannot guarantee that the interest will stop, hang in there the letters and phone calls will stop. It's hard at the begining but it will get easier.

Pay Plan are so busy that sometimes they DO NOT fully inform on the results of taking their advice.
My problem is that they told me I was ok with my creditors, they took too long setting up plan and the Major Creditor took legal action to apply for a charge on my property. Pay plan DID NOT give me good advice about this and now I am in a situation where the Creditors legal reps are saying that they WILL FORCE me to sell my property or auction it. (Northern Rock apparently are being totally ruthless in this regard).
I have been in daisy land thinking everything was going a long zippadee dooda and I SHOULD HAVE SORTED IT BY REMORTGAGING EARLIER and cutting a deal with my creditors when they wanted to negotiate instead of listening to pay plan who told me not to worry.
Well my advice is too worry, do something yourself and IF YOU CAN AFFORD to Remortgage then it probably is the best thing to do before the sharks get their teeth into you and payplan say "sorry!" NOT HAPPY0 -
Christopher_M I would suggest you get in touch with CCCS, CAB or National Debtline if you are not happy with Payplan.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

Another person happy with Payplan, they've been excellent with me and have always told me everything I need to know if I phone them, busy or not.
I rarely hear from my creditors of which I have 15.
Payplan can't force creditors to stop interest. A couple of mine are still charging. Which means that one of them is actually increasing my debt. But on the whole most have stopped.
Again Payplan (or anyone else) cannot stop court action but they give advice if needed.
As for companies wiping out your debt -Please don't believe for a minute that they will be successful. They might make some of your debts unenforceable and therefore stop court action, but this isn't guaraunteed and you will still owe the money. You could do that yourself by sending out CCA Requests. In some cases debts can be wiped, but it's not as many as they will have you believe. Everyone would do it otherwise and we'd all be debt free. If debts were wipable that would effectively mean that the banks and credit card companies were giving money away.
My own outlook is My Debt, My Problem, Payplan are giving me a lot of help and advice for free which is a bonus, but if I'm unhappy about something, they don't stop me taking my own action.LBM : March 2008
