I think Sarahsavers money is in Yorkshire Building Society, not Yorkshire Bank.0 -
Yes speculator, I realised after I had posted but the issue of integrity still applies doesn't it? Is it a Yorkshire thing going on? Hmm.0

Hi flossy_splodge. Yes I agree and thats why I always accompany my mum/dad to the Bank. Just last week, Halifax tried to sell her a "Long term Regular savings product" bearing in mind she's 65yrs. All she wanted was the 7% Regular Savings account.0

I had an account with the Yorkshire building society ( and still do). At one point I needed to remove draw money in an emergency as I needed to buy another house to feel safe from an abusive partner. I think my acount must have been a different one as it allowed withdrawals but with penalty. I explained the circumstances and they couldn't have been nicer. They transferred the money quickly and waived the penalty (which I actually hadn't asked for ,just quick transfer).
Might be worth asking.0
