...before I pull my hair out.
I've spent the last 3 hrs looking at mobile phone deals and still can't seem to find what I want.
I'm setting up business from home and have 101 things to think about; this is proving to be more of a hassle than anything!
I will probably use around 1500 xnet minutes a month and maybe 50-100 texts. I don't care what the phone looks like, what it does etc, as long as it makes and receives calls! I'm not interested in reclaiming cashback and stuff like that, which everyone seems to offer, or a PS3 or whatever.
I just want a phone that lets me use lots of minutes xnet with no frills. Please someone help me, I'm getting myself into a right state.
Thanks

If you are a registered business all the big providers will offer you special business rate deals. However you have to qualify as "a business" I am not sure of the details but there are minimum qualifying standards. This would be your best way forward as you are using quite a lot of minutes. I do not know what hours you make a call but many landline packages now offer free calls to other landlines in evenings and weekends. You want a mobile package that will include all your needs as minutes outside the package are expensive0

I have just looked at the Vodafone website, see
http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/mobile-phones/pay-monthly/price-plans/
If you ring the number given there 08080 408 408 you could get advice. The deal includes a "free" phone. A basic one like the NOkia 5500 might suit you best as you do not want anything too fancy and thus more liable to go wrong. You could also ask if they will do any deals for you as a business, be prepared to quote business registration numbers to them. These are NOT cashback deals but i assume you do not want anyting too stressful at the moment. There is also the issue of reception. In my experience Vodafone and O2 are the best, but you can check out the reception in your local area by Googling "mobile reception" or some such. I have used O2 & found them execllent as using their mobile services gave me a discount off their(very good) broadband. Be aware that you will be credit checked before you sign up for a contract and that this will show on your credit file0 -
3's 1100mins at the moment is a brilliant deal at £20/month
T-mobile's Daytime 3000 seems to have been canned. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Yes Sid is right, the 3 offer is a good deal. Here is the link to it:

BUT IT ENDS ON I JUNE, so you need to move fast. The only proviso I would have is to check their coverage in your area. They are a lot better than they used to be.0 -
Thanks for the advice. I should have probably been a bit more specific! Was having a bad day.
I'm a limited company. I'll be working probably 08:30 to 18:00/19:00. I can use my home line to make calls to landlines for free during the day.
However, around half of my contacts are mobile only, so I'd planned on using a mobile with inclusive minutes, rather than a landline, for that.
3's coverage is average where I live, but poor the closer I get to clients, which is no good, as I'm often on the road and it's out in the sticks!
O2 I have my personal phone with and coverage is fantastic. Pretty much everyone else struggles a little apart from T Mobile and Vodafone around here.
Mark at Mobile Mole has helped and come up with a good T Mobile package offering £180 of calls/texts for £25 instead of the usual £35, which seems like a good deal. I might also just give o2 a ring and see what they can offer.0
