Via your Telewest line it's a cable provider so BT related providers can't.
Prices for broadband via cable are pretty good IMHO
Prices for Telewest Broadband
Personally I'd call Telewest and see if you can get a free period of broadband with being existing customer

I agree t'w are quite good on their broadband prices (not so good on their tv & telephone though).
They are in the middle of upgrading their speed as well. For instance 512k will become 2mb for no extra charge. 1mb becomes 4mb at no charge. 4mb becomes 10mb at no charge.
Be warned though if you take up their offer of £9.99 for 512k (instead of the usual price of £17.99) then your speed won't be upgraded to 2mb.
Therefore, if 512k is sufficient then take advantage of the £9.99 offer but if you need a faster speed (or likely to within the minimum term of 1 year) then go for the non-offer of £17.99 so you'll then get upgraded to 2mb in next few months apparently.
More about the speed increases from telewest's website here, or this thread.0
