Wooden Flooring Price Floors 2 Go

Thats expensive for that small ammount of flooring even if you include fitting. Go to Magnet its trade only but get a joiner to price up engineered flooring. That mrs macchicken to you!0

Could I ask what is probably a very obvious question to you experts....
What is engineered wood flooring, as opposed to solid wood flooring? Does it mean wood veneer?
Would like to get nice flooring fitted in the future (dependent on money- isn't everything?) but with a 1000sq ft flat, it's looking pricey. It already has wood veneer laminate.
Thanks.0 -
Engineered flooring is a layer of real wood, usually about 4mm thick, that is stuck to a plywood baseboard. When laid,it has the benefit of looking like solid wood but it is generally (though not always) cheaper and is more stable due to it's composite parts. One other benefit is that some of them are made to be "clicked" together and not glued,so easier to fit.0
