Totally understand you. I am not in debt, i have credit cards, but stooze the money so can afford to pay them off. I used to think though that because i wasn't in debt i didn't really have to think about my money and was living comfortably, but since finding this site i've realised that just because i don't have debt, doesn't mean i shouldn't think about taking care of my money and reviewing it regularly and making it work better for me.
Since moving down South, the only way i manage to get by is by making sure my money is working properly, otherwise i am sure i would be in debt, hence why i am always on this site, to prevent myself getting in debt.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Hi everyone,
Today I am happy!
I have tomorrow off work and am going to slope off early today with a lovely long weekend to look forward to :-)
Today i have / will:
- been a bit extravagant and bought lunch, back to packed lunches next week
- saved money by not buying a retirement card, but took a present from my present drawer and wrapping paper from the wrapping paper drawer for a colleague who retires tomorrow
- do the washing on 30 degrees later (i think i may have been washing the clothes in cold water for the last year since we had the new washing machine, but they have been clean, so hey!)
- check my online banking
- ebay items have a few more watchers, so will hopefully get some bids....
- stay in tonight
- tea from fridge / cupboard
Have a good day!

Afternoon All :hello:
Yesterday I joined MyLotto24 for the £15 Cashback on Quidco - it's tracked already :T I had to deposit £5 which I bunged on different Lotto games, and this morning I have an e-mail saying I've won £60 :T
(But there's a problem with my login, so I haven't yet removed it  )
But for today I have/will:- Done my Piggy click
- Tried to do a couple of surveys, but was weeded out.
- Reached the end of a dispute with NPower, not really MS, but I've paid them so I'm not going to be sued and it has been dragging on since Feb
- washing at 30, out on the line to dry.
- found another MS for Saturday, in the same town as one I'm already doing, and there's a LIDL and an Asda there

NSD:AFree lunch at school and evening meal will be from storecupboard:AHave used immerser but not put heating on:TWill check over my Friday lists to check what shopping I need to get tomorrow and what bills and general banking I need to deal with:rolleyes::T:hello: :jEternal Optimist:j:hello:BR 22.09.08:staradmin BSC Member 201:staradmin0 -
Oo sounds like everyone is having a good DFW day, apart from a couple of you feeling ill. Get well soon!
I'm a bit perkier... at least I've made enough this month to cover those costs
though it's disappointing not to put it towards any debt... at least it's not making my debt worse.
I did 2 MS jobs at lunchtime and will do another two tonight. I had a bit of luck last night and having put my jobs into a spreadsheet, had a go round the sites and gained about 4 or 5 jobs. Will fill the reports in next!
- Will do piggy click in a min.
- Have some eBay stuff ending tonight - great surprise result on one thing... I listed a DVD I just had kicking around on the shelf, and it's apparently quite collectable (on Amazon for 40 quid up into 100 - I had no idea until I looked it up as I was so surprised it was going so well)... mine's at 33 already and doesn't end for a few more hours. Wish I had a few more now!! I just listed it for £2 haha - wasn't even sure it'd sell for that!
- Betfair validated on quidco today finally, since March. So that's £50 to hopefully come eventually too.
- Going to redo my SOA as well, as we've cut down on some things. I also want to do one that's based on me, as opposed to on us, for a clearer self image too. And have another look at my credit file too. I wasn't on the electoral register last time I had the score checked as we just moved and it hadn't updated in time. So I am trying to wait long enough before I look so hopefully it will have and I can see if I have gone up at all. I've got no late payments or missed payments on my file, and am listed as "fair" (no CCJs either, and only default ever was on a small amount when I was a student 10 years ago, so that's not on there either... and it was eventually paid off in full too). Not sure what else I can do to make it better.
- I opened a proper savings account recently (as in one that actually pays decent interest) with the plan of instead of using my rubbish natwest savings account (practically no interest), I'd put money across there instead. So I've got £500 in there now, and as I lose a month's interest if I make any withdrawal on it that month, I'm disclined to take anything back out - and make sure I can put it across before I deposit. Which is good. I have some in my NW account still, but once we finish sorting out the funding needed for our house stuff, I'm going to put the remainder across as well, which will hopefully be in the region of £1000 which I've saved up over previous months. This will give me one account I can monitor online and look at as my loan offset fund... gradually I will build up enough in there to hopefully pay it off early. I will still keep the NW one for moving any money out of my main account in an effort to not spend it too. It sounds complicated, but I think it'll work for me.Meanwhile my loan fund can sit in my sig so I can watch it increase as my loan figure decreases!
